Una O’Connor RGN MSc FHEA is an Independent Nurse Consultant and Operations Manager at Learn With Nurses. With a longstanding passion for education, Una is committed to supporting healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge, confidence and skills and to translate evidence into everyday clinical practice.

Education has been a central theme throughout Una’s career. She holds a PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Science degree in Medical and Healthcare Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Una has extensive experience in the development, coordination and delivery of education and engagement programmes for healthcare professionals, including large-scale national programmes and multidisciplinary initiatives across a range of clinical and public health priorities.

Her clinical and professional interests include cardiovascular and renal health, diabetes and POTS, alongside a continuing interest in rheumatology. She has a particular interest in education that supports earlier identification of risk, effective management of long-term conditions and better outcomes for patients.

During the pandemic Una returned to a clinical role to support the COVID-19 vaccines delivery plan. She also joined Smart Health Solutions at this time, initially as a Covid-19 Support Nurse and then as the Support Lead during the height of the pandemic and beyond, in addition to assisting in the delivery of the Health Protection and Care Champions Network.
